Dear Chuck, Ken, Rusty, John, Sharon and entire Staalsen team,

On behalf of the pastors, church board, and entire church body, I would like to extend a very hearty thank you for all your hard work and assistance in managing the pre-construction and construction efforts of our 6:10 Building Project. It was so refreshing and uplifting to work with a group of individuals who share the same desire to see the Kingdom of God move forward here on earth.

Specifically, I wanted to thank you all for coming alongside our project’s aggressive schedule to meet our deadline of having our first Sunday service on March 15 of this year. Without your help driving the schedule, we would have not met this deadline. I also want to thank you for the countless kind gestures extended our way throughout the project. Such things like storage equipment given to us to use as we prepared our children’s spaces. Or the fact that we were not charged for John Gaynor’s time when he was on site for our opening Sunday to ensure everything we well. I would also be remiss to not mention how refreshing it was to work day after day with such men of character like John, Bill, Dave, Eric, Polo and the countless others that helped bring this project to fruition.

As I write this letter, we are closing out the spring ministry season, highlighted by Easter. In this season we saw over 300 people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior through our Story of Love production and our weekend services. Praise be to our Lord! Without your efforts, this amazing harvest for God’s Kingdom would not have been realized, nor would the countless others who will be impacted in the future, Lord willing.

Once again, thank you all for your hard work on this project! It was truly a pleasure to work with each of you. We look forward to teaming with you on future initiatives in the very near future.

Through many helpful meetings with the Staalsen team, we were able to design a space that met our needs and stayed within our budget. Each subcontractor they employed was respectful and easy to work with. The high quality of their work is instantly noticed and greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend them for your church and will definitely work with them again when we’re ready for the next phase. Staalsen bring the hands and heart of Jesus to their work and the difference is instantly recognizable.

Staalsen’s services have been impeccable! There has never been a problem as they did all I asked for and more. Staalsen’s team helped me use the money allocated for the project much better than I initially planned, Our church received better results for less money!

Dear Chuck, Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When I at the Albany Youth Center recently, I noticed the great work that your men did in putting up the baskets, installing the glass blocks and repositioning the air conditioners in the old building. Please accept my sincere thanks for all of the extra work that you have done to help us complete this project. I know that Roosevelt appreciates the good work your men have done on the building, especially when we were faced with a time constraint of the dedication.

Thanks also for the good words that you brought to the people who attended the dedication. It was nice to have you there and to see that you able to get around without your crutches.

Again, many thanks for all that you have done in building this gymnasium for the young people on the west side of Chicago.

During our walk through, we composed a short punch list which is attached here for your reference and use. Dear Rusty, Just wanted to say a special THANKS – to you and to Chuck, for working so hard in helping our church install the Sunday School partitions. The rails and curtains have worked perfectly, and have accomplished just what we had hoped. Knowing how small a job it was, and yet how you worked so hard to be sure it was done right – makes it all the more special.

Recently, in just reflecting on the lovely place of worship known as the Oakbrook Terrace Corps building, the thought occurred to me that I had not written to say “thank you” to you and all those associated with your company, in working with us at The Salvation Army in bringing this to fruition.

I just had the opportunity last week to participate in some activities at Oakbrook Terrace, and saw the useful configuration of the building being used in many sections all at the same time.  Also, it was my opportunity to see the new wall between the sides of the gym.  What a great addition that is to the flexibility and utilization of the building.

Again we say thank you for working through all the unique challenges of this particular construction project.  We shall look forward to working with you on other occasions in the future.

Words cannot begin to describe our appreciation at all Staalsen has done to make our dream, our first building, a reality (but we will try).

When we first met at the preconstruction conference, we (Owner, Architect and Contractor) agreed to work together for a successful project. Most construction projects start this way, but towards the end selfish desires usually breakdown the teamwork. In our case, all of the parties followed Staalsen’s example of teamwork from beginning to end. Staalsen’s cooperation with the Architect and us throughout the project achieved a level of trust and understanding rarely found in today’s business world. This resulted in a project that fell within our budget, was completed ahead of schedule and exceeded our expectations of quality. So please accept our heart felt thank you for all you have done for us at Joy!
